Look what I can do!

Aleksa is sitting up now- I am so excited for her! Here are some pictures and video for our anxious grandparents.

Snow Day!

Last Wednesday we got snow in Arkansas and everything was cancelled- well, everything but Cam's school. Aleksa and I went out on the balcony to see the snow- and yes- she was wearing the snowsuit. This time she is too long for the snowsuit- but still not wide enough. See that little patch of snow? That was our snowfall Thursday morning. I wish I could say that the snow cancelled school- but it was actually the threat of snow that cancelled school here.
Thursday night, however we did get quite a bit of snow- here are Cam and Aleksa in the snow storm. We gave Aleksa some snow to eat and she loved it- surprise surprise- Aleksa loves to eat anything.

I'm so excited and I just can't hide it......

Aleksa gets so excited when you put her in her walker. She loves being in there even though she can't make it go anywhere yet- she's close to moving it around. She loves playing with her toys if you put them on the tray for her.

Another Milestone...

I have been awful about recording when Aleksa hits some of her milestones, but I am going to do better. Tonight Aleksa discovered her toes- she's noticed them before but tonight she grabbed them repeatedly. It was really cute which is good because I needed something funny after the diaper I had to change...

My Buddy...

Here are some pictures of Aleksa with her friend Sophie. Sophie has come to play at our house a few times. They get along pretty well as long as I can keep them from accidentally pulling one another's hair.

4 months and going strong.....

Aleksa is four months today. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She is rolling over and will sit for short periods of time. Today I helped her latch on to her book bin and she stood for a little while holding on. She is learning so many new things.

She had her checkup and she is 12.14 lbs. and 24 inches. She is finally at the 50th percentile for weight and is down to the 50th percentile for height. The doctor said that Aleksa looks great and was very impressed by how strong Aleksa is for her age. She also told us that we can go ahead and start Aleksa on some rice cereal when she started to have some food envy if we would like. Well she definitely has food envy so we thought that we would give it a try. We gave her some rice cereal tonight with quite a bit of milk mixed in- so that is was like eating milk from a spoon. We aren't going to give her other food for a long time but will keep giving her milk from a spoon because it was very funny. We have posted pictures and videos from our little adventure. Hooray for eating!!!

It was so funny- Aleksa kept her hand up and helped us feed her the entire time. Usually this resulted in spilled food but she liked to help all the same.

I got my new shoes on...

Aleksa is growing up so fast- when we took her to Utah she was a skinny little baby. Now she's a chubby little girl, sitting in her boppy and wearing her big girl jeans and shoes. I have been waiting for her to grow into her 3-6 month clothes- they are just too cute! Her little shirt is a personal ad- Ashley and I bought matching his and her shirts for Aleksa and Ethan when I found out I was pregnant- so Ashley now we need some pictures of Ethan. In fact, this is the first thing I bought for Aleksa...

Aleksa is her little velvet sweat suit and nikes- love it!

Inspiring...

Uncle Cache bought matching shirt for him and Aleksa. Aren't they cute together- he's a softy. We gave Aleksa a mohawk to match Cache's mohawk too.
