13 Days of Halloween!

Okay, I am really excited for Halloween this year, this is the first of many projects I have been dreaming about since oh, July! My partner in crime (Liny) and I whipped these up last night, and then got talking about all the people we want to make these for, so it will bee a week long project now. Each day has a fun activity to do leading up to the big night, we will for sure be in the spirit of things by Halloween- if we haven't turned into pumpkins by then! I posted this one on etsy, so if you can't live without it you know where to go.
*UPDATE* Countdown is no longer available, it sold, but more will be coming!*

730 days...

Aleksandra has been in our family now for 730 days- can it be? It seems like she has always been with us and feels like she was just born yesterday. Aleksandra we love your sweet personality, how willing you are to help us, your darling laugh, how you try to sing along when we sing, how you read your "skiptures" and how you give kissed and hugs everyday. Love you baby- here's a look at your past two years and hoping for many many more!

Oh Barbie...

I just got the text this afternoon, it's official- Cache and Liny are leaving in the morning to move to....ARKANSAS! I can not wait- drive as fast as you possibly can- safely. I can't wait to have my partner in crime a five minutes walk away- instead of a 1.5 hour drive, 3 hour plane ride plus layovers all with my sidekick Leks! Wahoo! Liny- rest in the car- because I have some big time Halloween ideas for us. Oh and Cache and Mia will be coming as well... Cam is super excited for Cache to live close by and Leks is excited to spend some quality time with the Mia.

Boo

Aleksa and I are ready for Halloween- as much as I am holding on to summer I will gladly loosen my death grip as soon as I can start putting Halloween decorations up. I figure I should take care of Aleksa's princess birthday party first... then do Halloween.

Ohio State

Cam, is this a new Walker tradition? Last year you and Aleksa dressed up in matching outfits for the game and this year they mysteriously disappeared before the game started and reappeared in matching outfits. Aleksa's one complaint- no football helmet- seriously?

Fall is my favorite season by far, but this fall I have been clinging to summer. Maybe I'm sentimental because this fall Aleksa, my baby, is turning 2- a fact she reminds me of everyday. Maybe it's because this is our last year in law school- an event I have been anticipating for forever. But I realize that this crazy life as students has a lot of pros that I'm not willing to give up quite yet. Maybe it's just because I want time to slow down- who knows. Anyway, here's a picture that I don't want to forget from this summer.

It's coming.....

Hog Football is on its way to Fayetteville and Aleksa can't wait- no joke. This little girl LOVES the HOGS!

Featured!

My sibling T-shirts were featured on a treasury on etsy: Tools for Moms. Check it out!

No more Beanie Babies...

This summer I got to watch my lil sis Tori play some High School soccer games- its been a really long time since I have seen her play. (Like the last time I saw her play my mom was still bribing her with Beanie babies if she would kick the ball during the game.) I don't think mom had this in mind when she was bribing you. Ironically, McDonald's reintroduced their Beanie Baby happy meals this summer and I had my own little own beggin for "donalds". Good job Tori!
P.S. Aleksa was very concerned that you were not okay when we looked at the picture-I've tried to tell her that you are in fact fine- not sure if she' s buying it.

5 Years

Cam and I celebrated our 5th anniversary in August. He was able to come out and spend a week with us between clerkships and school. We opted to do a "staycation" instead of presents this year. We stayed at the Armstrong Mansion in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was very beautiful and had a lot of interesting history. When the church was experiencing problems with polygomy Pres. Wilford Woodruff hid at the Armstrong Mansion in the basement. You can stay in that room even- pretty cool. All of the rooms are named after months of the year.
We stayed in the June Bride room- they were running a great special- if you booked their cheapest room they would upgrade you to the best room they had available when you checked in- we got the best room for the price of the cheapest- not too shabby.

Why in the world I chose to stand like this I don't know- oh well at least we have a picture of both of us...
