Aleksa

Sorry- I know that it has been a long time since you have had an Aleksa fix. Well this should take care of that! Here are some pictures of what our little darling has been doing since I last posted. By the way-- Aleksa took TWO steps today. I was walking with her around the house tonight and she let go and took two steps- not that she will be walking anytime soon- but it was amazing!!!Here is Aleksa at her second Razorback baseball game- we sat in the outfield to watch the game- it was really fun.
The next night we went to go see Cam's friend Clayton pitch against the Arkansas Naturals- Clayton did great and we had a great time!!!

Here's Aleksa- she did so great but she couldn't make it the whole game- we had to leave in the 12th inning- go figure.
Aleksa has learned to feed herself- on this day she got a piece of cereal stuck under her nose which made us laugh.

CONGRATULATIONS GRANDMA!!!

Congratulations Grandma Daun! Today she is graduating from UVSC! We are so proud of her for going back to school and getting her B.A. Not only is she graduating but she has received Summa Cum Laude honors! She has been teaching this past year at Wasatch High School as an intern and next year she will start teaching in the English department at Wasatch Junior High.

Stand Tall...

Aleksa has been trying to stand the last couple of days. She only stands for a few seconds but it's enough to have all three of us laughing and smiling. Here is a video- sorry its sideways- but you can see her in some of her attempts. The video is pretty long- she stands the longest at the very beginning so you don't have to watch all of it. Also, please ignore me- I was very excited that she was standing so well! The video is also kind of dark sorry.

Daily cuteness...

I love dressing Aleksa up, she's like my own little doll. I just wish she felt the same and would keep her clothes nice (i.e. no spit up, drool, leaking diapers, etc.)

A day in the life of Aleksa...

I came home from working out to find this little mess. Cam just smiled at me and said look how much fun she's having (Aleksa has been sick and teething-so anything that makes her happy makes us happy.) This is the first time she has really made a mess- I know that the messes that will follow will not be as amusing but for now we think it's cute.... Hi Mom!!!


She didn't stop until she had examined every diaper in the basket.
Aleksa loves her baths and is very happy until we try to put a new diaper and clothes on...

Happiness is....

For Aleksa happiness is having two binkys within reach- esp. at bedtime.

Camera Woes....

We went to get Aleksa's pictures taken at *a photo studio in a well known department store today* (I know not the greatest but we are in law school...) anyways- they did get a few cute shots- but overall a disappointment. Our photographer, unlike last time, was well lets just say they must practice on the job training- I think she was training on us. Long story short- it all turned out just fine but it just cemented that I will be getting a new camera sometime soon maybe for my birthday. My camera just can't keep up with Aleksa- either she's too fast or it's too slow. I am wondering what everyone else is shooting with and how well you like it. I know I can't buy my dream camera but I should be able to get a pretty nice one. So let me know....

Easter Happenings

Saturday Aleksa went to her first ever Easter Egg hunt. She was more of an observer than a participant- we just don't move fast enough. Next year... next year... We did bring some eggs just for her so she had some in her basket.
Here she is Easter morning. Aleksa loves to sleep in (to like 10:00!)- we have been trying to break her of the habit- this is why she looks so sleepy in her pictures- we pulled her out of bed to see her basket.
It was fun because she was actually interested in everything in her basket- as long as she could put it in her mouth.

The things my parents make me wear... I think she looks a lot like my baby pictures in this picture.
I don't know what this is but I like it.
This isn't a great picture of her in her dress- we are going tomorrow to get them professionally taken- stay tuned.
