I love this girl!

Aleksandra has entered that fun stage. I mean she was fun before- don't get me wrong- but she is a BLAST lately. (She also gets in trouble a lot more often and makes me want to scream more often, but that's a whole other post.) She plays with us, wants to makes us laugh, wants us to make her laugh, and really tries to help out around the house.... and she will finally let me put bows in her hair, in fact she usually requests them. And finally she is talking so much more which is usually a plus- don't worry Utah family members we practice your names everyday- she's got them all down except Tori and Liny- Tori you are now "T" and Liny what do you think about "ee-ee" ? I went in her room during naptime for craft supplies and I found this- I couldn't figure out where she went...
She was just hiding... with her football...

I have a disease

I can't stop crafting. I got a cute bag for Aleksandra at the show and I had to try it out. Hers is a hogs bag, of course- but I decided that it would be fun to do some summer bags. So luckily for us Aleksandra has some friends with birthdays coming up so I could try the bags out. They were really fun and EASY! I just single stitched around the letters so they can fray around the edges and then I sewed two ribbon borders then knotted the ribbons- the result- cute fun cheap birthday presents!

Yes, there is life after the show....

Unbelievable, the show is over and we are all still alive. The house leaves something to be desired but it's a work in progress. The show went GREAT! Heather and I had a big turn out and both made our goals which is always nice for a first show and probably any other show. The big highlight of the day that a store picked up my tiles and are going to carry them in their store! I am so excited! Now I am just busy filling custom orders and trying to help Aleksandra remember what it was like when she had a full time mom! Overall, the show was great and I will do one again but I am a little relived that the next show isn't until November. I thought I would post a lot of pictures for catch up, but I downloaded my pics and there aren't very many sorry....
We did take time out to paint our toes- the color is bright orange and called "Big Daddy"- you gotta love that.... We also had popsicles out on the deck- they were yummy!

Aleksa loves to put on her shoes lately and she actually does a pretty good job getting them on the right feet. I am so mad though, we bought her SUPER cute little NIke flip flops and we lost one before she ever wore them. But Aleksa insists on wearing the one we have everyday!

Here is how I package my tiles for the show, they are little chocolate boxes.

I put a ribbon necklace on each tile too, kind of lame picture though.

Our sweet neighbor Dana bought Aleksa this bike, which she LOVES! The funny thing was the day before we were telling Dana that we were trying to find a bike for Aleksa and she bought one for her the same day we did.

Here's Aleksa's other bike which she will grow into a little bit but she also loves this bike because we can push her around the neighborhood on it.

Poor Aleksandra, left to her own devices decided to take a bath with no water, fully clothed.

Spring Boutique Sale

Lulu's Tiles has been selected to be in the Spring Boutique Show! I am so excited! I went to the sale in the fall and could not believe how cute everything was! I have been busy making tiles to get ready for the sale. Hopefully, it is a good experience.
You can visit the site here: http://www.nwaboutiqueshow.com/.

How sweet it is.....

The ice cream truck came for the first time this spring so we got Aleksa a popsicle. It came at the perfect time right between sessions of General Conference on Saturday. She loved it and we loved the warm weather!

Easter Pictures (Part One)

We took Aleksa out Saturday morning to take some pictures of her in her Easter dresses (we have two very nice grandmas). She did pretty good, it was a little cold out so we will try again later this week too.

Oh Aleksa, what a character!

When we took our pictures by the fountain a gust of wind came and blew her basket into the fountain. Luckily, another gust came and blew the basket back to us. A photographer saw our plight and asked us if we would like to use her baby chicks for some pictures because she was between clients. We were so excited! Aleksa LOVES birds, talking about birds, singing about birds and looking at birds. We were soon to find out that she does NOT love being by birds or touching birds. She was so scared of the chicks. She did touch one with one finger as fast as she cold but that was it, no more. I had a great time holding the little chicks, they were so soft and so sweet. Come to find out after we got home that Cam didn't really want anything to do with the chicks either.... So while Cam and I thought we were about to get the world's best Easter pictures for free- Aleksa had a whole other plan. After the chick incident Aleksa was done with pictures for the day. So we will go out this week and try and get some pictures in her other pink dress this week.

Visit from Grandma...

We had a great time when Grandma Lori came to visit. I was still sick most of the time but we were able to do some fun things. I think grandma and Aleksa were perfectly content to play with each other, Cam was content to watch March Madness and I just wanted to sleep- so all in all everyone ended up happy. We took Lori to Eureka Springs one day. I was dying to take her there- I love Eureka Springs- it is so inspiring to me. I could take photos there all day long and still have a list of places I want t look at! We had such a fun time- please come again grandma!!!

Aleksa loves flowers!

Okay, don't you just want to live here?! This house was so gorgeous!

A picture is worth a thousand words, and I don't have any words to add...
Cam and Lori at the Mexican restaurant we went to, it was very good!

Lori and I LOVED this little house!

Grandma was here for our weekly Friday night pizza picnic. Every Friday we have pizza and spread a blanket out on the floor for a picnic. Aleksa loves this- pizza and a picnic- it doesn't get much better for any of us, and Cam is just pumped that its Friday!

Lori also made her YUMMY fresh guacamole. It was so good, I think we all made ourselves sick because we could not stop.

Just like dad.

Aunt Liny- these are the flowers Aleksa picked for you on your birthday. I usually only let her pick one but on your birthday she got five!
