I read in a book that it was good for babies to have their gums brushed. I also know that just because it's written in a book does not mean it's the only way. But I thought we'd give this a try. It turns out that Aleksa LOVES having her gums brushed and LOVES to brush them herself. She loves her duckie toothbrush. The handle is made so babies can easily hold it which makes it easier for her. We even use her toothbrush as incentive for her to roll over and scoot and it works- nothing gets between this little girl and her toothbrush.
